Four intrepid souls are taking on the final day of a 114km trek today (Sunday) to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Starting in Southampton and led by Damian Lo Cascio in memory of his partner Natalie Poole who passed away suddenly from a non-detected circularity problem aged just 37.
Damian explains:
"This Charity walk was created In Loving memory of Natalie, who died suddenly on April 3, 2022, of a heart attack due to constricted arteries.
"She was my partner and inspiration who loved me with all her heart and I am so grateful. A tragic loss of someone so young and beautiful.
"Screening would have saved her, she left five young girls a partner and plenty of friends who loved her dearly. She inspired others with her courage in life.
"A mother, a partner, a sister, a daughter and dear friend. Our aim is to celebrate Natalie's life or for anyone you want to remember by raising awareness through fundraising activities for research in this area. Tragedies like this can be averted."
So far the group have raised around two thirds of their £8,000 target and you can donate to the cause here.
