Cowes Kids Dress To Impress For World Book Day

Cowes Primary School pupils celebrated World Book Day yesterday (Thursday) with a range of innovative and elaborate costumes.

You would be forgiven for thinking you had stepped into the pages of a story book when walking around the school.

A spokesperson for the school said:

"The imagination and creation of the costumes has been amazing.

"It is such a fabulous way of celebrating both books and our love of reading."

During assembly, Mrs Groves revealed the winners of the 'Decorated Wooden Spoon Competition'.

The children were asked to send in their entries of their favourite book character represented on a wooden spoon.

The following children all won a book voucher for their entries:
