A new study has revealed the Isle of Wight is the second best UK destination for wild swimming, with three Island seaside locations in the top 10.
The study - conducted by by wellness experts at UK Saunas - was inspired by a recent survey from the Outdoor Swimming Society that found an astonishing 7.5 million Brits enjoy swimming outdoors.
The Isle of Wight is the second area to consistently appear in the top 10 rankings with Sandown, Shanklin and St Helens among the elite.
Cornwall has been crowned the overall best seaside destination for wild swimming, with the top five towns or villages in the rankings all based in the county.
Only two other counties outside of Cornwall and the Isle of Wight appear in the top 10, these are Watchet in Somerset and Poole in Dorset.
