Isle Of Wight College Announces GCSE And Functional Skills ‘Fast Track’ Programmes

The Isle of Wight College has unveiled two new and exciting educational programmes.

The Fast Track initiative for GCSE English and Maths, a comprehensive 20-week course, and the Fast Track programme for Functional Skills English and Maths, a comprehensive 24-week curriculum.

Both programmes are set to kick off in January, offering students an accelerated and dynamic route to improve their language and mathematical abilities – perfect for those requiring these qualifications for a September start in higher education next year.

The GCSE English and Maths Fast Track programme caters to individuals aiming to achieve a grade 4 GCSE in English and/or maths.

Tailored for those already possessing a strong foundation in English and/or maths, this 20-week programme aims to guide students toward a successful outcome in the GCSE exams.

The course will commence in January, providing an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their skills and attain critical qualifications crucial for their academic and professional aspirations.

As a prerequisite for enrolment, prospective students will undergo an entry test, ensuring a high standard of readiness and identifying any existing skills gaps.

The January start GCSE English/maths programme is an ideal choice for students aspiring to progress to further studies, including Access to Higher Education or pursuing degree-level education.

Universities now greatly value good GCSEs in English and maths among their applicants, enhancing their chances of academic success and employability.
