Local Girl To Represent The Isle Of Wight In National Pageant

A former student at Ryde Academy will represent the Isle of Wight in Miss Teen Great Britain when the Grand Final takes place at Blackpool's Globe Theatre in October.

At the tender age of 16, Chloe Neale left Ryde Academy with all 9 of her GSCE’s passed and ,in addition, she also had the equivalent of 3 A levels through her London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) studies.

As well as excelling in her academic studies Chloe entered the Duke Of Edinburgh Award scheme and the Miss Teen Great Britain competition.

She successfully completed the D of E Silver and  is now studying for a Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre at The Hammond in Chester.

The Miss Teen Great Britain competition is not just a beauty pageant but it is about raising money for the charity Together For Short Lives which provides support to families where there are terminally ill children.

The partnership between Together For Short Lives and the pageant was established in 2015.

Since that time every year the Pageant has raised funds which go to help families in need.

The pageant itself, is about far more than youngsters having a pretty face.

It is about celebrating the achievements and the goals of teenagers and to celebrate their progress as they grow into meaningful young people through inspiration, enthusiasm and a dedication un paralleled in fund raising.

Chloe said:

“I first thought about entering Miss Teen Great Britain for amusement and was shocked and honoured when I was chosen as Miss Teen Isle of Wight and found I was through to the Grand Final.

"I am so grateful to everyone who helped me get here. I can’t wait to experience something like this which will be a first for me.

"I’m looking forward to meeting the other contestants and take part in all the fun activities that will bring one of us to the Miss Teen Great Britain title.”

Anyone wishing to support Chloe taking on the 99,000 Steps Challenge and the very worthwhile Together For Short Lives charity can make their donation online.
