Something new and exciting is coming to Ventnor this summer.
The weekend of July 5 and 6 will mark the inaugural Ventnor Summer Festival, with festivities concentrated around the town and Esplanade on Saturday, and in Ventnor Park on Sunday afternoon.
Hosted by Ventnor Town Council, Sunday afternoon is the time to celebrate the town's community spirit with organisations, groups, and charities providing fundraising and information stalls.
A spokesperson for the event said:
"We are planning activities for all ages including some sporting tasters.
"Ventnor Bowling Club, Ventnor Cricket Club and other local sports clubs will be there, and you are invited to have a go (at these things).
"There will also be craft stalls, music, entertainment, and food in the award-winning park. Jackie and her team at Tee in the Park will be providing delicious refreshments alongside other caterers – watch this space for further details."
Stallholders are now being invited to apply for spaces at the event, with a charge of £10.
