Prestigious Business Accolade For Island Company

An Isle of Wight company has gained national recognition at a prestigious business awards event in London.

WRS Systems received a ‘highly commended’ in the ‘Customer Loyalty Award’ category at this year’s Lloyds British Excellence Awards, held on Tuesday November 12.

The Newport-based company, which was founded in 2003, was also a finalist in the Family Business of the Year category.

The awards programme is the largest of its kind in the UK, with thousands of entrants, celebrating the best of British business.

The night, hosted by TV and radio presenter, Anita Rani, also featured an on-stage interview with renowned chef, Tom Kerridge, while Trinny Woodall picked up an Inspiration Award.

Specialising in electronic point of sales systems (EPOS), such as tills, self-serve kiosks and tablets, the family-run business has grown significantly over the last 20 years.

It works with brands across all sectors, with Costa Coffee, Cornish Bakery, DUNKIN’ and itsu among its clients.

A team of WRS colleagues attended the ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Hotel, including David, his son, Chris, and daughter, Sophie, who are directors at the company.
