Panashe Chibwana, a Year 13 pupil at East Cowes' Priory School, has been shortlisted in the global OxBright Essay Competition 2023.
Panashe wrote a brilliant essay answering the question “How can long-term thinking in the field of Law foster optimism about the future?”
The panel of judges declared themselves 'very impressed' with the talented teenager's efforts — shortlisting her within a competitive field of over 1,000 entries.
Her prize is a free place at an OxBright academic conference.
School Principal and man of several initials, David EJJ Lloyd, remarked:
"This is a wonderful achievement and Panashe is a very talented pupil, keen to study lay and work in the legal profession.
"I have every confidence she will be a great success."
Emma Soar, Vice Principal, added:
"Panashe has a natural flair for writing and I am delighted that she has been able to showcase her skills."
