Red Squirrel Awareness Week gets underway today (Monday).
As part of the campaign, a meeting for people interested in becoming a tree warden was held at 10am in East Cowes.
It comes as the Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Forum with the Isle of Wight Council and Parish Councils are looking into funding possibilities for a part-time tree warden co-ordinator.

As well as looking after trees, there is an opportunity to record species of flora and fauna, including red squirrels.
