RSPCA Isle Of Wight Inviting Pet Owners To Visit Rabbit And Guinea Pig Drop-In Welfare Clinic

Calling all rabbit and guinea pig owners! If you are looking for practical help with the care of your pet - then why not drop in to RSPCA Isle of Wight's clinic and meet their expert team?

Join the team between 11am and 3pm on Sunday February 9 at the RSPCA Isle of Wight Animal Centre in Godshill.

A spokesperson for RSPCA Isle of Wight said:

"We can help with nail clipping, grooming, scent gland cleaning, front teeth checking and any general advice on your pet’s condition and wellbeing.

"In 2024 the charity rehomed 60 rabbits and 55 small animals.

"Like many other UK animal shelters, the Rabbitry Department is always at capacity.

"As soon as an animal is rehomed another is waiting to be surrendered from a waitlist.

"The aim of the clinic is to try and avoid any further surrenders due to welfare and to help the community understand the level of care a small animal needs.

"It’s also a chance for staff to meet all your little furry companions."

There is a suggested donation of £3 per pet for the charity to raise some funds for the rabbits and Guinea pigs looking for homes in their care.

You can find the team at the RSPCA Isle of Wight Animal Centre, Bohemia Corner, Merstone Lane, Godshill.

No appointment is required, but people are asked to bring all animals in a secure carrier.

There is no limit to the amount of rabbits and guinea pigs to be seen.
