Following her success at the English Open in the mixed doubles two weeks earlier, Islander Sarah Howell gained a second gold medal in the women's doubles at the pre-European pickleball championships.
The event was held at The David Lloyd Centre in Southampton on November 21.
Sarah teamed up with Clare McKnight, from Arun as the pair romped to gold.
After topping their group they went on to beat Gilli Macgregor and Wendy Howes, 11-9, 8-11, 11-4 in a nail biting final.
Sarah said:
"I was amazed at how well we played together, having never met before, and so pleased with another gold medal, especially competing against people from all over Europe.
"All the hard work and practice has definitely paid off."
Sarah plays at West Wight Sports Centre, which has become a Mecca for Pickleball on the Island.
