The latest in a series of fundraising quiz evenings in aid of the Vectis Radio 4Ps Training School charity has been hailed a success.
The event was held at Newclose Cricket Club on Friday April 19.
The evening, which was sold out and had a waiting list, was one in a series of community fundraising quizzes held at Newclose and organised by Tracy Asher.
This one raised over £470 for the 4Ps charity.
Tracy said:
“We enjoy running the quizzes to help local charities and community organisations.
"The people who attend love thinking hard for the answers as well as contributing to the much needed funds.”
Trustee, Maggie Currie, added:
“I'd like to thank Tracy and her team for putting on such a great evening and helping us raise over £470.
"Every pound helps us put young people with additional needs through our 4Ps course which improves their confidence and communication skills and helps them be more productive members of society.”
Besides the participants on the night, who raised £420, the quiz is also available by email to those who prefer not to travel, an additional sum of over £50 arriving about a week later.
