A 10-year-old pupil of Arreton C of E School has been named the winner of a design competition run by local company IDML which received more than 300 entries.
Pippa Hunt's design was chosen by the three inshore station managers, alongside IDML owner Tomas Phillips and manager Martin Morris.
The aim of the competition was to create a design which will be printed onto any colour t-shirt with all funds going to support the inshore lifeboats.
Each shirt (below) is priced at £15.
Pippa has her design and her name on every t-shirt that is printed, along with the name of her school.
The plan going forward is to run this competition annually, with a new winner to create a different t-shirt to raise funds to support the three Inshore Lifeboats Stations.
Pippa and her mum - Angela - were presented with a t-shirt by Tomas and Martin, before being invited aboard the Sandown and Shanklin lifeboat for a quick training trip by Mark Birch (Operations manager) and the crews from Ryde and Sandown and Shanklin Inshore lifeboats.
