FOCAS Fest – Focus on Conservation and Science Festival – is returning to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary for a second year after its successful debut in 2023.
This year, the event will be bigger and better, taking place over two days - Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June, and forming part of the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival which is happening across the Island.
The motivation behind FOCAS Fest is to bring to life conservation and science in a fun and imaginative way by creating an amazing day out for the whole family as they engage with all of the fantastic interactive exhibits.
Over 30 different exhibitors will immerse children in a world of wonder as they explore an incredible range of topics enabling them to connect with nature, and most importantly helping them to understand how they too can make a difference to our natural world.
To ensure that ALL children have access to FOCAS Fest, the Sanctuary will be offering a massively discounted admission ticket price of just £2.50 per person which will also include full access to whole of the Sanctuary and all its wondrous rescue animals and the daily talks and feeds.
There will be two sessions available daily: 9.30am - 1pm or 1.30pm - 5pm.
Zeb Fisher, the Sanctuary’s Learning and Discovery Manager said:
