Teddi Mellencamp, former star of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, says doctors have found multiple tumours on her brain.
The 43-year-old American, who is the daughter of musician John Mellencamp, wrote on Instagram on Wednesday that she was undergoing immediate surgery to remove two of the tumours.
She added the remaining smaller tumours would be dealt with via radiation at a later date.
"For the last several weeks I've been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalisation," she wrote.
"After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumours on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months."
She said was "blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons" and thanked "everybody who has reached out" and "supported me along this journey".
The update comes after Mellencamp, who starred on The Real Housewives for three seasons, revealed she'd been diagnosed with stage two melanoma in 2022.
She has had regular treatment to remove the skin cancer.

After sharing her statement on Wednesday, Mellencamp posted a video of herself having her head shaved ahead of the surgery, saying her dad had told her: "God only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it."
In another video, she was surrounded by friends and family minutes before she was expected to go into surgery. Kyle Richards, who is still in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills cast, was among those present.
Since leaving the TV show, Mellencamp now hosts a podcast called Two T's In A Pod with Tamra Judge of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
