Three teenagers have been charged with murder after a 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Bedford.
Police said Thomas Taylor was attacked shortly before 6pm on Wednesday as he walked along Greenhill Street, near Bedford bus station.
Thomas, a student at Bedford Academy, was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries but died a short time later.
Ahmed Adam, 18, from Kempston, and two other males aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named, were arrested on Friday and were charged with murder on Saturday.
They are due before Luton Magistrates' Court on Monday after being remanded in custody.
Three more arrests were made over the weekend, Bedfordshire Police said.
A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old male were arrested on Saturday and remain in custody.
Another 18-year-old male was arrested and released on bail.
"Our thoughts remain very much with Thomas's family and friends at this extremely difficult time," said Detective Inspector Richard Stott, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.
He is urging anyone with information to get in touch, adding that he and other officers are "working tirelessly on this case".
