WIGHT BUGGIN’

13th-15th September, Retro Staycations, Ryde

This September, get ready for an unforgettable weekend of fun and adventure at the Wight Buggin’ Family- Friendly Camp Out! From Friday
13th to Sunday 15th September, the picturesque Retro Staycations site in Ryde will transform into a vibrant haven for families and VW enthusiasts. It’s the perfect end of season opportunity to unwind and socialise with fellow campers.

This family-friendly weekend is not only great value for up to 3 nights camping, but also has some superb bands and music acts performing live for everyone’s enjoyment, inflatables, rodeo bull and kids attractions. The aim is to provide a value-packed, chilled weekend. Browse through a variety of stalls selling an array of camper essentials, artisan crafts, and unique, locally made products.

Explore a range of local traders offering freshly cooked hot food that caters to all tastes, plus a bar courtesy of Island Ales. Let’s make it an endless Summer on the beautiful Isle of Wight for all those who love VWs!

Gates 11am Saturday and Sunday for day ticket admission. Camp-out ticket holders may arrive any time from 3pm Friday. Everybody’s welcome whether you have a campervan, caravan or tent. Non-VW camping is available too! A weekend ticket includes access to campsite and festival Friday - Monday, live music, entertainment and on-site facilities.

Tickets can be purchased online. Entry only: Car/van & up to 5 people, plus vehicles of interest non-camping – £10 daily Adult (18+) individual on foot non-camping – £5 daily.

Kids only £1. Weekend Camp-Out: Campervan & up to 5 people – Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights (as preferred) – £45 (Grass pitch only, maximum 7x7m) Dogs welcome.

THE GIRL ON A TRAIN

THE GREAT WIGHT BITE FOOD FESTIVAL

Northwood House, 7th & 8th Sept

On 7th & 8th September foodies will flock to Northwood House in Cowes for the Great Wight Bite. Packed with delicious street food, craft ales, artisan gins, rums and vodkas courtesy of distillery alchemists at Mermaid. There’s a House pop-up restaurant and Braai curated by the Heron’s Alex Kimber.

Hosting the Chefs Stage is TV’s Chris Bavin along with broadcaster Valentine Warner and drinks expert Helena Nicklin who will be heading up the Masterclass Stage. The Little Chefs Den is back with budding cooks of all ages creating a range of delicious dishes.

Expect live music across the weekend with Saturday’s headline an ‘Ultimate Elton’ tribute.

MURDER MYSTERY SUPPER: “HIGH SPIRITS”

Northwood House in Cowes presents its next enthralling murder-mystery supper night in conjunction with Caught Red-handed productions. You and your friends play the detectives as a murder unfolds around you while enjoying a delicious two-course hot buffet supper.

With Halloween fast approaching and with Northwood House allegedly one of the most haunted buildings on the Island, this time the supper takes on a special ghostly theme! Quiz the suspects, look at the trail of clues and work out ”whodunit”! A super night of entertainment guaranteed. Tickets only £32.50 each, but be quick!
